How to Improve Blood
Circulation
Improving blood circulation is a
key factor in good health. This is because nutrients get
to the tissues and toxins
leave the tissues via the blood
circulation. So if our blood circulation is not operating
optimally, nutrition and detox will not work optimally
either.
Signs of Poor
Circulation
Signs of poor circulation include:
- Cold hands and feet
- Numbness of hands and feet
- Poor healing - either of wounds or bruises
- Varicose veins
- Haemorrhoids
- Dizziness when rising suddenly
- Swollen ankles and legs
- Poor memory, confusion or certain other mental
symptoms
How to Improve
Blood Circulation
To improve blood circulation there are a number of
specific things you can do. However, first of all, you should
attend to the basics.
1. Your diet. You should be eating a
diet with high quantities of vegetables, preferably raw; lean
protein such as chicken and turkey breast, and oily fish;
minimal starchy food - potatoes, pasta, bread, rice; little
sugar of any kind; limited omega-6 fats - sunflower oil, soy
oil; using cold pressed (or 'virgin') olive oil; limited
high-temperature cooking - favour poaching, simmering,
steaming; supplement with omega 3 fatty acids (1-2 grammes
total of EPA + DHA).
These dietary measure will, indirectly, be a great benefit
in improving your blood circulation.
2. Your exercise regime. Exercise
aerobically 2-3 times a week for 30 minutes plus. Fast walking
is one of the best aerobic exercises. Swimming is also good.
Carry out weight bearing exercises for 30-45 minutes 2-3 times
a week. In addition, carry out other exercise as you wish - eg
racquet sports, football, netball.
To improve blood circulation, exercise is absolutely vital.
Be assiduous with your exercise regime and you will get the
benefits you deserve.
3.Your relaxation regime. You should
have relaxation time every day. Set time aside for yourself as
you feel appropriate. Don't neglect yourself. Relaxation helps
your whole body; your circulation will benefit, and the
reduction in stress you get will feed through.
Then, after the
basics, add in some
supplements.
1. Cayenne
Pepper.
Cayenne is a wonderful herb which improves circulation
wonderfully. Cayenne has an affinity with the circulation, the
heart and the blood. Cayenne does what is needed; if you need
safely to increase the circulation, it helps. (But see the
caution below.)
Eg - varicose veins; try taking 1 Cayenne
Capsule 3 times a day.

Mrs P, Seaford, Sussex: I was
having trouble standing for more than 15 minutes. I
got aching legs. I took 1 cayenne capsule 3 times a
day and after 2 weeks could stand all morning
without a problem!. It was like magic. |
